Two bikes. Seven Finger Lakes. Eight hours. 253 miles.

My friend Bob Morphew came down from Ontario Canada for a Finger Lakes tour on Saturday, August 27. We covered 7 Finger Lakes, all listed below. We stopped at some of the best scenic overviews in the entire Finger Lakes Region.

Bob rode all the way from Burlington Saturday morning - and we chose the Avon Inn as our meeting spot.

First lake: Conesus

Here is the view of Conesus Lake from the Southern End.

Second lake: Hemlock

And here is the view of Hemlock Lake taken from the Northern end.

Third lake: Canadice

Fourth lake: Honeoye

One of the best views in the Finger Lakes is the view of Honeoye Lake from Harriet Hollister Park.

Fifth lake: Canandaigua

This is taken from Carolabarb Park, named after some rich guy's two wives (no kidding).

The only place I know that the Strom can't go is into outer space and over water, although Bob almost gave it a try before I talked him out of it.

Sixth lake: Keuka

This the view from the center of the 'Y'.

Seventh lake: Seneca

Seneca Lake is the deepest of the Finger Lakes at 618 ft. Not a particularly spectacular picture, but we had to prove we were there.

Oh, and one other great scenic overlook, although it doesn't involve a Lake. It's called the "jump off" at Ontario Town Park overlooking a nice valley.
