Owassee Road

There's a dirt road that takes you down into one of the most pristine sections of the canyon.

Fall colors

Trout Stream

World-class trout streams are everywhere down here. In fact, PA boasts more miles of streams than any other state - including Alaska.

Colton Point State Park Lookout

Skyline Drive

You've got to hit any road that is named Skyline Drive. This one didn't disappoint.

State Forest Road

There are hundreds of miles of pristine dirt roads just like this one running through the mountains around the PA Grand Canyon.

Nearby farm country

State Forest Road

Elk Run Vista

These vistas are all over the place.

One road is sweeter than the next...

More vistas...

And more....

Another two roads diverged in a wood... and this time I took the beaten path

Farm Field

A horse farm way up on one of the adjoining mountains

Church near English Center

Waterville Inn

I had to make the obligatory stop at the Waterville Inn for Freedom Fries. Ordering French Fries will get you shot down here.

Colton Point - later that day

My Baby's cute little Toyota Yaris

Of all the beautiful sights on this trip, none was better than this...

Cedar Run Inn

Allison and I spend the night at the Cedar Run Inn, a quaint little hamlet deep in the PA mountains

Beulah Land Road

This spot along Stoney Fork Creek is called Blueberry - for what reason I'm not sure. My friend Judith Giddings turned me on to this place.
